Quality Music Education
for All Ages and Abilities

We believe music has the power to transform – and that it should be accessible to all who are called to learn. For over 30 years, Michigan State University’s Community Music School in East Lansing has provided music education and music therapy clinical services to individuals of all ages and abilities.

We offer a wide range of programs, including private lessons on various instruments, group classes and ensembles, summer camps, and clinical music therapy services. From jazz to rock, strings to woodwind, and choral to composition and theory, CMS East Lansing has something for everyone, whether you’re just beginning or well along on your musical journey.

Financial assistance is available to students and families with need.
